Extracted from the author's substantial work on Eskimo life published by Greening in the UK as "Northern Lights and Esquimau Folklore." This extracted pamphlet version appears to have been sold as a traveler/tourist souvenir and guide to vistors expecting to encounter Eskimo Indians on their journeys North. Printed inside the front cover is a "Notice to Kodakers" warning of possible unpleasantness that might arise from trying to photograph "Esquimaux" people and suggesting a gift or bribe of some bauble or trinket. Yikes. Covers lightly shelf and dust soiled and rubbed at edges. Illustrated with b&w drawings. Unusual ephemeral piece, one part Souvenir and one part book Advertisement. G++.
